 ½ cup cherries, pitted
 1 tbsp granulated sugar
 ¼ cup Colavita Black Cherry Balsamic
 Ice
 Sparkling wine or seltzer
 Basil for serving

In a medium vessel such as a mason jar or glass container, muddle cherries and sugar until cherries are broken down into small pieces. Cover and place in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Combine balsamic vinegar and cherry syrup. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling wine or club soda.
