These little balls are proof positive that eating healthy and enjoying a treat need not be mutually exclusive culinary experiences. These morsels are as healthy as they are delicious. Best of all? These energy balls will come together in minutes and require absolutely no special equipment. All you have to do is mix, roll, and enjoy!

Energy Balls

 1 tsp toasted flax seeds
 1 cup rolled oats
 3 ½ oz Perugina Extra Dark Chocolate 85%, coarsely chopped
 salt
 ¾ cup almond butter
 2 tsp Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
 1 ½ tsp maple syrup
 1 cup finely chopped dried figs

In a large bowl, combine the flax seeds, rolled oats, chocolate, and salt. Give it all a good stir to combine.

Add the almond butter, olive oil, maple syrup, and figs. Mix everything using your impeccably clean hands until it is thick, evenly distributed, and forms easily into clumps when you press the mixture in your fist.

By hand, form the mixture into approximately 1-inch balls. Enjoy immediately, or store in a single layer in an airproof container.

Note: 1/4 cup maple syrup = 2 Maple UnTapped packets
