This is a simple and flavorful grilled recipe for outdoor BBQ's and quick dinner. The spicy and rich rub makes this delicious all year round.

Grilled Steak with Spiced Coffee Rub

 ½ tbsp Ancho chile powder
 ¾ tbsp ground coffee
 1 ¼ tsp dark brown sugar
 ¼ tbsp smoked paprika
 ½ tsp dried oregano
 ½ tsp ground pepper
  tsp ground coriander
 ½ tsp mustard powder
 ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
 ¼ tsp ground ginger
 ¼ tbsp salt
 ½ 16 oz boneless NY Strip Steaks
 ½ tbsp Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Combine all the spices in a small bowl and mix.

Coat the steaks with the rub on each side - use a generous amount. Press the rub into the steak.

You can grill immediately, or chill the steaks for up to 6 hours.

If your steaks have been chilled, allow them to come to room temperature before grilling.

Heat your grill to high heat. Cook steaks 2 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and allow to rest. Slice diagonally and serve.

Note: An instant read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak should read 120°F for medium rare.
