Parmesan Crusted Brussels Sprouts

These Parmesan Crusted Brussels Sprouts are a fantastically tasty veggie appetizer. Coated with parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs and dipped in Colavita Balsamic Glaze, they are savory, sweet, and we bet you can’t just eat one!

 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
 ½ cup flour
 2 eggs, beaten
 ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
 2 tbsp Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for the pan
 1 tsp salt
 ½ tsp garlic powder
 ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
 Colavita Balsamic Glaze, for serving

Heat your oven to 400°F.


Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drizzle with a little Colavita EVOO.


Add flour to a shallow bowl.


Whisk eggs in a separate shallow bowl.


In a third shallow bowl, whisk together bread crumbs, parmesan, Colavita olive oil, salt, garlic powder and cayenne.


Working in batches, toss Brussels sprouts in the flour until fully coated then dunk in eggs, shaking off any excess.


Dredge in breadcrumb mixture then place on baking sheet.


Bake until golden and crispy, about 25 minutes.


Serve immediately with a drizzle of Colavita Balsamic Glaze
