These chocolate brownies are a traditional crowd pleaser with it's rich chocolate. They are delicious warm or cold and make a happy addition to any tailgating party or lunch box.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Using a paper towel or spray bottle, oil an 8X8 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl combine oil, apple juice, egg, egg whites, sugar and cocoa. Mix until well blended.
Add nuts to batter (if using) and mix to combine. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, add a pinch of salt; mix well.
Combine with the wet ingredients and stir to incorporate until just blended.
Do not over mix. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top; bake 30 minutes.
